- The iron bars banged against her thigh as she took her steps with purpose, moving on from that which brought her heart ache. The crimson liquid dripped down onto the path behind her as she left a trail of blood from whence she came. A soft thumping could be heard if you stood near enough, and an organ pulsated in the iron cage that hung at her hip. Her heart, gouged from her chest and hung under lock and key. With each beat the muscle made outside of its proper home it reminded her why she was here, and who she was. Lifting her head high into the sky she took a deep breath, her chest heaving as blood dripped down her rib cage splattering down onto the earth below as she carried on with what she was meant to do all along-
