In the days before the Sengoku a second son was born to a great Daiyoukai and a human Hime-the boy's name: Inuyasha.

His father died early from a fatal wound, his mother stricken with grief lived up until his 5th year, when she could take no more and passed away too, of a broken heart and heavy burden, leaving the hanyou child to fend for himself in the wilds of Musashi's domain.

So the tiny hanyou boy was on his own, fending for himself: stealing, killing, not caring being wild-up until his 16th year...when he met Kikyou.

Kikyou seemed like a kindred spirit in a way, both wanting something neither could really attain...The one thing that linked them-the disastrous Shikon no Tama...Which would also be the very thing that broke them. In a blast of ill begotten trust the bandit Onigumo gathered youkai of all sorts to his burned and broken body which Kikyou had been taking care of up till that point, secretly, and in one fell swoop became Naraku, all for the sole purpose of raping Kikyou. He split the two apart by taking their forms and playing them against each other...which resulted in one dead miko and Inuyasha pinned to the Goshinboku for 50 some odd years until a young green miko from a distant future came and woke him up and sealed his fate with her.

Kagome came with a reborn Shikon no Tama; woke him up and promptly shattered it...which began their long journey to restore and get rid of it as well as destroy Naraku the one being in the world that made everyone miserable.

Over the years they hunted for the shards and Naraku; they met a few close friends that helped, and they slowly fell in love...The years drew them closer together till at last one day Inuyasha mated her on a threat that she'd wind up with another guy, and from this union sprang pups and a happy yet dangerous marriage…

One that still carries on today...with many dangerous adventures and new people.
