I've noticed, about the group. I'm actually glad it isn't as active, because I don't like butting heads with people and that one guy seems to be someone who doesn't like to be analyzed, clarified or corrected. Personally, I like being clarified and corrected. "Entering a discussion with a concluded mind offers nothing but an ignorant tongue." I'd rather be proven wrong than appeased or ignored. In being proven wrong, I learn something. In being ignored or appeased, nobody learns anything.

My argument about that is that nobody can know for sure what's possible and what isn't because history has proven that anything is possible with the knowledge to make it so. Before we had the technology to build airplanes, we thought it impossible to fly. Years, decades, centuries or more from now, who's to say what can or cannot be done? Hypotheses have no limitations until they, themselves, are limited by time. I do understand what you're saying, though. As things are now, it's impossible and, therefore, irrelevant. "Why debate an irrelevant subject?"

Realism is dependent on a lack of progress or flow of time. Who's to say one can't eventually acquire that power now or in the future? Acquiring so much authority would take time, but it is theoretically possible. Taking over a densely populated nation, focusing on military and morale, reviving the practice of Manifest Destiny, ensuring your own personal safety, ensuring those you lead are unwilling to defy you. I'm sure there would be a lot more to it than that, but I'd be ignorant if I were to claim it impossible. Feel free to tell me if and when you'd like to discontinue this subject.

Once you have power, you have to decide how to use it. Will people love you or will they fear you? If they fear you, you have an incredibly high chance of losing that power. Nobody likes to be afraid. If they appreciate you, your chances of losing that power are lower but they still exist. Rivalries may surface, which means competition will arise. You may have all the power in the world, today, but can you keep it? This is where your opposition comes in.
