いっらっしゃいませ!

So, if you've found me, you're either lost or you know me through LJ. Allow me to enlighten you. I'm an unashamed geek, a fangirl (of the yaoi/slash variety), and most of all, obsessed with music. I'm 19, a junior in college (majoring in history, minoring in Japanese), and I'm living in Florida and desperately wanting out. I'm half-Egyptian, half-Bosnian/Russian/Ukrainian. I've just come back from a one-month language study program in Kanazawa, Ishikawa-ken, Japan. ちょっと　日本語　を　話した　こと　が　できます。 I spend most of my time on LJ, drawing, going to concerts, traveling, and reading. I'm into all kinds of music, especially industrial, emo, punk, J-rock, world music in general, soundtracks, gothic, electronic, Arabic pop, underground hip-hop, and pretty much anything with a good beat. As you can probably tell from my name and my avatar page, though, my favorite band is 30 Seconds to Mars. They're very special to me personally - their music helped me through a very hard time I was going through a while back. I've seen them 3 times, met Tomo, and fallen up the stairs in front of Jared. Yeah, that was a blow to MY ego. XD

A word of warning. If you use chat speak and type like a two-year-old, I won't even talk to you. Seriously. Show me some intelligence and an interest in something that isn't "a/s/l" or "lol wanna cyber?", please. I'm not into that, I can get my jollies elsewhere.
