The Legend of SweetPea and PurpleHaze
Some time ago I was page hopping and noticed a pretty photoshop'd gallery pic of a beautiful young woman with piercing eyes and tightly bound pigtails amidst a highly artistic and colorful IMVU page. Foregoing any embarrassing generic 'hi, nice page' message, I page hopped through but her IMVU name and striking gaze was forever etched in my memory... 'SparkLz'.
A short time passed when I found myself wandering past her page yet again however that beautiful pic was no longer in her gallery of snapshots. I felt compelled to introduce myself and ask if the picture was really her and where it could have disappeared to. Within a day she returned the introduction and replied with surprise that I'd even noticed the change in her gallery and page...
Her real name was Michelle, and I found her to be a very creative and artistically inclined princess of passion.
From there our conversations on IMVU were short and shy as we became more acquainted.
That was around the beginning of February 1st, 2006.
The more Michelle and I interacted, the more apparent the mutual attraction became...
I posted pics of the real me and my home in Orlando Florida, and she shared more pics of herself and her apartment in Cosby Tennessee... We took many IMVU snaps together and made stickers for each other. We chatted through IMVU, webcam, Yahoo or MSN almost daily. Our evenings were spent searching for and chatting with one another online...
Over the months that followed, our relationship and growing love was tested over and over again. Dissolving social circles and old bad relationships only served as catalysts in proving the sincerity of our feelings and bringing us closer together. However, towards the end of that year, situations developed and it appeared we would never be able to converse again. The short time spent apart indeed made our hearts grow fonder. As we faced the reality of perhaps never seeing each other or even ever sharing something as simple as an instant message, our desperate yearning for one another was evident.
Knowing this was our last chance, I asked her if she wanted to meet. She replied with the words I'd longed to hear for months and said yes. I stopped my world, took much needed vacation time from work and traveled the 648 miles to her, making record time in my car. The anticipation of finally meeting her cleared my head and all senses were fully on alert. She arrived with a knock at my room. Within seconds we were in each other's arms, our tender lips firmly pressed together, our hearts inevitably beating as one...
From that day on, we've pretty much been physically inseperable.
Week after week, I would drive those miles both ways and return to her and each week our love was growing stronger. The times in between being together were becoming painful and we were emotionally sick until we'd meet again. I asked her to move down here to live with me and after moments of careful uncertainty she finally agreed... I made the arrangements and moved her down to Orlando during April Fool's weekend. Since that time, we have been sharing our love each and every moment of each and every day.
We captured each others hearts, and we are the perfect fit for one another.
Our hearts grow fonder as we now share our daily adventures in person..
Our love is one filled with morning fresh romance that has endured the tests of time.
...She has since changed her name to SweetPea and our story continues even today...
Update: 1/28/2009 ~ Destiny found us at the courthouse together this morning with baby Lucien. We applied for a marriage license :)
Update: 1/31/2009 ~ In a very private ceremony at 10am this Saturday morning, we exchanged vows and are now married :) I had contemplated teasing Michelle making her wait for the 'I do' like in the Katy Perry video but decided instead to mention our most private promises and make them part of the official wedding vows.(big grins heh heh)
If it were not for IMVU, I may never have found the love of my life.
We truly are the epitome of IMVU romance.
