If you send me a friend request and have not chatted with me, keep the following things in mind. If I invite you to chat and I get a DnD, Away, or timed out message, I will likely decline you. This does not mean I don't have interest in talking to you, it's just an easy way for me to keep track of people I have and have not talked to. I tend to get dozens of requests and chat invites during each day, so it helps keep me in line.
As a quick side note, I tried to keep most of these in reasonable order. Some of them are out of place, and I apologize ahead of time.
