I've been pretty busy this past month watching my grandchildren play and playing with them. An unexpected message brought about the reunion of my grandchildren and with one visit a phone call from daddy to ask us if we would mind watching them while he moved them to another home and got it ready. Gee that was such a hard question to answer! NOT!!!! And what was supposed to be a week turned into a month due to unseen circumstances, including their daddy being in a vehicle accident. To give him the time to heal and recuperate and still work, we extended their stay.
I love my grandbabies and this was such a blessing to watch them and see the changes a year and half has made in their development. With my granddaughter, she was just a baby, now she walks, laughs, says some words, especially NO!! that she learned from her big brother who is an expert on the word NO!! Having two in diapers is EXPENSIVE!!! The one thing I was not prepared for was seeing butts up front and center first thing in the morning. It's a good thing that my glasses weren't on! Plus they are bucket calves that devour milk! Both have very definite and pronounced likes and dislikes but the one thing they share in common is wonderful kisses and hugs that melt your heart.
In the midst of the grandbabies, I have found out that I have torn my rotatory cuff in my left shoulder and will need surgery. That will have to wait til Oct. as it is harvest season now and hubby is in the field and wouldn't be able to help me.
I've been absent also due to Facebook, they've got some games that took my attention. I'm whittling away from some of them and will be more active here. After all, this is where home is.
