The webring has been cleaned up! All dead sites who were not displaying the code have been deleted from the ring. We deleted a lot of members, so be sure and check to make sure your code is working properly. If not, please sign up again and replace your code.
If you've already hidden or deleted your code because the ring logo was broken, please sign up again at: http://www.ringsurf.com/netring?action=addform&ring=razisturm
If you still have your code visible on your page, but the logo is not displaying, please replace the img src with http://razi.alfreelancing.com/IMVU/furryring.jpg and your logo will reappear!
NOTE FROM RAZI:
I would like to apologize if you were deleted and still had the old code. I've had some trouble over the past two years finding a host that could handle the bandwidth used by a group this size. I now have a paid-for host, so the ring logo will not be making another move. Again, I apologize for any inconvienence this may have caused.

FurryPride loaned 18k in credits to FunkyMoFo to assist him in submitting five furry skin sets.
Two of the five sets were donated to the catalog in exchange, viewable here:

First, you must know a bit about the FurryPride developer's program. This is why we do the group projects, to help fund new and wannabe developers, as well as sponsor contests and promote our group projects! --> http://www.furry-forums.com/forums/index.php?board=32.0
As you can see, FurryPride depends on your product donations to keep running, and to enable it to offer more and more options for promoting newer developers.
This is how a group project works:
Each group project has a sponsoring developer, usually of a pro-dev tier so we can take advantage of their pro status with more visible advertising. They will match whatever FurryPride decides to put into shoutouts for each group project. They will usually participate with product donations to help spark the shoppers into looking further into the FurryPride catalog.
The participating developers submit their donations to their own catalog, marking up each item no more than 50 credits each and leaving each hidden and derivable. The developer is then responsible for submitting the product id numbers to the team leader for each new project in order to submit them in a bundle. The developer will also need to create a screenshot and product icons for their submissions.
New meshes, if holiday-specific, are asked to be kept hidden from public derivations until after the holiday.
What you get out of it:
Mainly, it's a warm fuzzy feeling from doing something nice. ^_^ Also, the brainstorming for these projects is really fun, you get to meet and work with a lot of different devs with a lot of different styles. You get a ton of free advertising since the icons in the bundles all present a link back to your own catalog and your own sales benefit from all the advertising.
The true main benefit is we all earn direct sales tier points for this, even FurryPride. Through our group efforts, FurryPride is rising through the tiers and is currently (as of Oct 2007) a tier 2... but that was before the first big group effort! We're sure to rocket through the tiers together! If FurryPride reaches a pro tier level, we'll all reap the benefits when we participate!

The FurryPride Group was started in February of 2006 by razi, one month after she became a member of IMVU. The site (IMVU) was really new then, and there was no way for furries to really find each other here when surfing homepages or visiting chat now. So, after a month and only meeting a handful of furries, razi started the first incarnation of FurryPride, the webring to help link together the furries of IMVU.
The webring grew, and razi went on to start creating furry skins, and the webring grew faster as more and more furries came to IMVU. In November of 2006, razi joined the FurryForums to help Maxis29 get it up and running. At the same time, the FurryPride section of the FF was created, as was this avatar page, meant to serve as a clearing house for all things furry on IMVU, full of links to help a new fur find their way into the furpile we call IMVU!
Shortly thereafter, since the webring's first purpose became pretty much a moot project once Max started the FF, razi had the idea to expand FurryPride and start a developer's program. The sole purpose of this program is to help struggling developers, furry and human alike, to kick off their developing career with a small loan of credits or the purchase of their name. FurryPride began to accept product donations, with NikolaChan holding the honor of being the first donator.
While funded solely by razi, interest in the projects submitted here grew, as well as the demand for help from new devs, so razi hired Kage as ringmaster and put her in charge of the developer's program. Helping Kage with submissions are NikolaChan, RubberDucky01 and WynterPayne, who serve as assistant managers for FurryPride. Within a year, the program grew to become self-sufficient and no longer required outside credit donations to fund the promotions and giveaways.
FurryPride still serves as a common meeting place for the furries of IMVU, serving links to the FF and to the FF IRC chat, hosting contests held by various community members and purchasing advertising for furry promotions, and it also still maintains the original webring.
The future of FurryPride is bright, especially with the advent of IMVU groups, which helped prove the popularity of this program. Recently, razi has begun to organize large group projects involving many experienced developers which has profited FurryPride very well.
New programs will be added in the future to benefit the furries of IMVU. Please feel free to post your ideas in reply to this blog post, they'll be checked often.
