What Must I Do To Be Saved?

"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" This is the question asked of the jailer. And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved." -Acts 16:30-31

Isaiah 59:2 Tells us that our iniquities (sins) separate us from God. And "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" -Romans 3:23 and "the wages of sin is death" -Romans 6:23

"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" -Rom 5:8 and not only for us but "also for the sins of the whole world" -1 John 2:2

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

"He *Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." -Isaiah 53:5-6

"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." -2 Corinthians 5:21

Jesus Christ paid for all of our sins by dying upon the cross. He was resurrected from the dead on the third day; was victorious over death and is able to give eternal life unto all who believe.

Jesus said of Himself, "I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." -John 14:6

"There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" -Acts 4:12. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, not Mary, not the Pope, nor through the Saints, "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" -1 Timothy 2:5, neither is it found through works, Ephesians 2:8 - "For by grace you have been saved through faith (in Jesus Christ), and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

"The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Rom 6:23

Romans 10:9-10 tells us "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." for "whoever calls on the name of the Lord (Jesus Christ) shall be saved." -Romans 10:13

And "as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." -John 1:12-13

Jesus said, "I Am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" -John 11:25-26

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and would like to, I invite you to go to the LORD now in prayer it can be in your own words or something like the following, what's important is that it comes from your heart. Heavenly Father, forgive me of my sins, I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died for all my sins, and was resurrected from the dead, by faith I receive Your Son as my Savior. Jesus, I invite You now to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life, save me, wash me clean of all my sins, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me to be all that You would have me be from this point on. Thank You Jesus, for saving me. In Your name I pray Amen.
