When I talk about Western music I talk about the stuff thats on the radio in the WEST. America, Canada, Europe. I know only one Los Angeles radio station that plays "Asian Music" and unless one is on the internet, the only time they hear it is at the begining or end of an Anime. Like it or not, Anime has given Asian music a boost in the west, but it still has a small following over here. Thats why our group is so important to people who want to learn about this kind of music. Thats why we are growing fast!

and JPOP is not Chinese, Korean or Thai music either. But, that doesnt mean we can't have some. Look, My group glorifies all ASIAN music. We don't knock Jrock, we embrace it. I know theres a diffrence, its like between classical and Polka, both music but diffrent. Wakatta! But for our purposes, people in the west have no clue. SO, we want eveyone to appreciate it all..Im sorry if it insults someone, its their problem, not mine. Our group is the largest asian music group on IMVU, that says alot about us.

No it isn't entirely about the money, but no artist will be idealistic enough to turn it down. There are alot of musicans who may hate certain types of music, but that doesn't make that music wrong. I personally wont listen to Western music any more, I prefer Asian music. There are some people who say that Asian music is not up to the quality of western music, but thats a stupid statement. Its like saying women cant play heavy metal.. the people who say those kinds of things are clueless.

its the same why Rockers here said Disco is dead but guess what, despite blowing up thousands of records, disco still lives in other forms. Music will always have a place in someones heart, no matter if its old or new. Miyavi might hate Pop but only because its not for him. Japan is a small place, the size of California. It has a huge population that love music, no matter what kind it is. The culture strives to be the best, which is why many people prefer the music there to here in the west.
