"I'm learning......."About ten months back in late 2007 I decided I wanted to try Chinese Calligraphy and Painting. Limited resources and a near impossibility to get the materials led me to open a Forum, Super-Gallery and Journal on the topic in Europe.

Raggedy Birds. What is a Raggedy Bird?
Well, there is a painter and artist called Ngan Siu-Mui whose work I admire very much. Later, I have also discovered Yang O-shi whose work is amazing and inspiring. I attempt to paint as she does. But it's tricky. Yang O-shi has a lifetime of experience. I have half a year. :o) Below is my latest video showing some samples of my raggedy birds in creation. I hope you enjoy it.
I have to say that there's an eternal Thankyou that goes out to Karen and Melissa, two exceptionally special people who have assisted me in obtaining the genuine article when it comes to Ink Stones, Ink Sticks, Chinese Brushes and Red Star Xuan paper. Life has been very exciting since they helped me find these almost unobtainable things from China to England Via........ Texas. xx

PROGRESS: SOME PAINTINGS CREATED THIS MONTH.

Time-Lapse Painting example. Yang O-shi is one of the world most talented Chinese Artists and her work which includes but is not limited to Birds insects and flowers is incredible. Yang O-shi paints with a simplicity and fluidity that is easy on the eye and complimentary to all the other elements in the paintg she works within. I would like to know if anyone knows how I can contact Yang O-shi as there isn't an easy obvious means. Many thanks for looking in anyway.
