Yes, I am an American-born Black person. For the life of me, I can't see what that has to do with anything. Do you REALLY think that other nations and cultures around the world make any sort of distinction between whether a black person is Caribbean born, Motherland born, American born, or from any other country? That's gotta be the oldest joke in the entire history of racism, and it only deepens the plight of Pan-Africans everywhere.
Let's not allow assumptions between one black culture and another because of what OTHER groups have/or-are-still telling us.
In my experience, we are all of us discriminated against in the same ways. Racist individuals and institutions do not give one flying **** what African culture you were born to -- just that you are or even just LOOK African is enough for them. And just as the color of the skin, country of origin, creed, sex, sexual preference, or the shape of your physical features have no bearing on your intelligence or character, so it is among us.
Black is black, no matter what country you're in. And I love ALL my people. So ya'll cut that crap but quick. xD People makin' me tired, lol.
