You believe that the Biblical story of Adam and Eve and the creation of a world only 6,000 years old should be taught in America's schools as science. Technically, John McCain says he believes in evolution and that so-called intelligent design should probably not be taught in science class. However, he also goes on to say that the decision on whether "intelligent design" should be taught in science class should be left to the discretion of local school boards. In other words, John McCain wants to have things both ways. If John McCain were to die in office, however, things get much trickier. Sarah Palin does not even use the code words "intelligent design" to describe her view. Palin is on record as being in favor of teaching actual Adam and Eve creation theory alongside evolution in public schools. So if you prefer that your children not ask difficult questions about such things as how it takes the process of erosion millions of years to create the Grand Canyon or how the evolutionary process of plate tectonics continues to push mountains around the world higher and higher, then vote for John McCain and hope he dies in office.

You believe that enough people have already enjoyed the natural wonders of America. If you think that America's beaches and the pristine wilderness of Alaska have been enjoyed by enough people already and should not be preserved for future generations, then vote for John McCain. John McCain prefers to continue George W. Bush's policy of making sure that the only industry in America that can continue to enjoy record profits even during a recession when every other industry is hurting rather than exploring a means of energy that is not finite and likely to be exhausted during your children's lifetime. Rather than increasing funding for an energy policy that is not absolutely, positively guaranteed to run out before this century is out, John McCain prefers to take the risk of destroying the entire coastline along the Gulf of Mexico and turning the whole of Alaska into a potential Exxon Valdez disaster area.

You believe that Roe v. Wade should be overturned. If you absolutely, positively believe that a woman should not have the right to choose whether she will give birth to a child she is unprepared to take care of emotionally, mentally, or economically, then John McCain and Sarah Palin deserve your vote. John McCain is on record as stating that when he becomes President he will nominate to the Supreme Court only those judges who agree that Roe v. Wade should be overturned. John McCain and Sarah Palin are both against Welfare and providing free health care to all American children, but believe that every child should be brought into the world regardless of the capacity for that child to be provided a healthy and nourishing life.

You believe that gasoline prices and the price of every product that needs to be transported across the country has simply not risen high enough. Bush pushed through to bring us to this state of frightening uncertainty. McCain has no plan to address this nation's dependence upon gasoline. McCain has no plan to address the potentially devastating mortgage crisis. And, of course, John McCain does not realize the primary engine driving economic uncertainty in America right now is the cost of continuing George W. Bush's unnecessary war. For the price already paid to fund a war that has brought America nothing but $4.00 a gallon gasoline and the tears of tens of thousands of family members and friends of those who died needlessly, every single American could have received an economic stimulus check this year of $1721.
