I am the youngest of four children. My 2 older brothers, along with my father are no longer with us, and my beloved grandparents and most aunts and uncles have passed on aswell. I have a son who is in the army national guard and has been since august of 1999. I am proud of him for all the right choices he has made in his life. I also have four nephews and one niece, and now 1 great nephew and niece.I have a honorary goddaughter you is like my daughter that i also love and am proud of. My older sister whom is 7-1/2 years older than me and has been married to my wonderful brotherinlaw gave me 3 of the nephews and their oldest and his lovely wife gave me the great nephew four (2005) years ago and the great niece this year(2009). My other nephew who is the oldest of the group and his sister the youngest are my late oldest brothers and my sisterinlaws. The brother between my sister and i died at birth and has been our little angel watching over us. They are all my heart and my strength. They are the source of my courage and what makes it all worth it. Without them my life would be empty and meaningless. My goddaughter who is as much mine in my own heart as my son is , has followed my steps being in the school band and color guard. But then in my heart they are all my kids, nieces, nephews and all. I am proud of them for finishing school and for their other great choices in life. Whether it's the nephew thats a pharmacist, the nephew in the navy, the baby nephew who stops by just because, the niece who along with her older brother has overcome so much pain and loss after my brother passed. The goddaughter following in my footsteps in the high school marching band, my son who joined the national guard in '99 and has already been to iraq once and now is there a second trip as of 2009. They are all my heroes and my pride and my joy. My older sister like most siblings do, we have our times and they are precious. My parents were there for me and we had our ups and downs, together as a family we came through it all. I miss my dad, i was his baby and always will be, i am thankful his suffering ended and he found peace. I know he watches over us and is there. My friends though very few are my extended family and also precious to me, i appreciate them all dearly.****** I am currently 43, single and never married. Just never found the right man for me. I have the one son age 27. I love to read, do cross-stitch and crafts, watch tv and movies. I love music, baking, animals and like most women shopping. Coke is my favorite drink,blues and purples my favorite colors. I like long walks, snuggling or napping when it's rainy outside. I enjoy trips to the beach or out in the country. Dream of taking a cruise or going to the mountains. I long to visit Louisiana and see all the old churches and antibellum homes. I was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi in 1965 and moved to Wallacw, South Carolina in 1970. My dad's family is from there. I lived just outside of Longview,Texas in a little town call Union Grove for 6 months-Sept.,'95-March,'96. Since 1992 in December i have lived in the small town of Cheraw,SC. It is a nice town with it's good points and bad points like all towns. Not much to do but it's growing and larger towns nearby give other options. I have had cats, dogs, fish,birds and ferrets as pets. I live alone except when my son is with me. Those times are when life is the most blessed and peacefull. I have been disabled since 1988. I suffer from Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, GERD,IBS, Vascular Migraines and a Vascular disorder. I also have diabetes-type 2 non insulin dependant and am very fortunate to control it with diet and exercise so far. I am always battling my weight. I did weigh 297, but no longer. I am proudly down to 249 and still battling to lose the rest. I have no desire to be a slim perfect barbie girl, but to improve my odds with my health and my quality of life. I am seeking a realistically livable and maintainable weight for me. I also have osteo-arthritis, osteo-porosis, rheumatoid arthritus and copd. I have always had allergy problems and minor heart problems. There is more but it all goes hand in hand with fibromyalgia and of course family genetics. With all i endure and fight daily, it could be much worse. There are so many things i have to be thankful for and feel blessed about. When a doctor says you WON'T see 30 and you're still fighting at 43 thats a miracle and proof God is still at work. I am spiritual but not overly religous. I know God has some purpose or reason for me or i wouldn't still be here. When he's ready he'll let me know what it is. Who know's maybe in the meantime i'll find my dream man, or at least make new friends on the journey. To all who read this treasure your family and friends, know what is important in life and never waste the chance to tell the ones you care about how you feel or that you appreciate them. I LISTEN TO GOSPEL, COUNTRY, SOUTHERN ROCK, CLASSIC ROCK, SOME HARD ROCK AND LITE metaL. I LOVE THE GOLDEN OLDIES AND MOST DANCE TUNES. I ENJOY SOUNDTRACKS FROM GOOD MOVIES OR SHOWS. MUSIC IS A SUBJECT WE CAN ALL UNDERSTAND AND RELATE TOO NO MATTER WHAT COUNTRY WE ARE FROM OR WHAT LANGUAGE WE SPEAK, IT IS UNIVERSAL AND SOMETIMES HEALING AND SOOTHING.
