I'm very glad people still love my eyes I worked hard on them and I was very excited about IMVU when it first started. However the staff has disappointed me again and again with their policies on reporting trademarked, stolen and copywritten items.
I should be able to say hey this image here belongs to this company person and have it resolved, yet they insist on the owner supporting a full dmca report. not many people will take the time to do that, and how are we supposed to contact companies for the hundreds of stickers made from official art. It's just annoying and tiresome. I may, MAY make some new things this Christmas if time permits. I'm always open to ideas.

From what I've seen, the Ashley seems to be more of an attitude thing; it's the attitude of the person who has the piercing that brings out the piercing's 'flavor' and I can imagine that on you it could either be a matter of understated elegance and beauty or one hell of a punch packed into the wink of metal.
As for the tattoo design... yes, I'm designing it and yes, I will be more than happy to show you the design once I get more of it mapped out. *grin*
And... Whew. What a long message! Hopefully I didn't bore you; I hadn't expected to write as much as I had, but we have apparently touched on an inspiring topic and so I have been compelled to write.
Take care!

Suffice to say, the fierce joy I experienced completely made up for the lackluster experience I had had with my lower lobes when I was a teenager. *chuckles*
The current setup I have in my ears makes me happy and where I know I would like a little more done, I also know that waiting can only make the experience better and so if I have to wait a little longer for a 'better time' to get them done, then so be it.
As for the two Ashley piercings... wow. That would definitely be something to see and I agree! I'll bet it would be a killer on someone who has the the fuller lips and I'll bet it would look even better if the person has the right attitude to pull it off. ;) A grin or a smile just like so and... yeeeah. Definitely some nice stuff right there and yes, more understated than the snakebite, but packing just as much - if not more - oomph in the punch.

When I came out of the studio, I think I probably scared everybody who ran into me because I had this unbelievably cocky grin on my face for the rest of the day and looked insufferably pleased with myself. That was two years ago and to this date, I still get that cocky grin when I look at myself and my ears - with their CBRs in of course - in the mirror. *laughs*
But THAT - that deliciousness pre, during, and post piercing - is what tells me that I did the right thing and that body mods are something I definitely like having done... provided that they are truly something I want done in the first place.
When I got the second hole pierced and then my lower lobes stretched to 14ga and then to 12ga, I waited to get them done and experienced the exact same delicious results. The piercing experience was, specifically, like you described, particularly exquisite in its pain and I had never been happier to have a new addition to my piercings.

But because of that one not-so-great experience with my first ear pierce, I decided to wait it out to make sure that I really truly wanted what I was lusting after... and it was the best decision - and the longest wait - I could have made.
When I finally went in to start the stretching of my lower lobes (figured that getting them started professionally would be better than me trying and messing up somehow) and to get the new CBRs put in, it was like I was about to have the time of my life or something because I was so stoked to get it done that the endorphins and adrenaline was running so incredibly strong and fierce in my blood.
I went from 20ga to 16ga and got 3/4" CBRs put in for my lower lobes and while my piercer warned me about possible pain, the only thing I felt was this slightly sharpish burning/stining sensation in my ears that can only be described as 'delicious'.

Before then, I had stuck to plain sterling or stainless studs or hoops/half-hoops and had been happy with them as I had always been a fan of the simple and elegant. Additionally, since I'm being honest here, before visiting the piercing studio, I had been wary of CBRs and everything else related to them as my impression of the people who wore them wasn't too keen at the time. As you know, I'm not a personal fan of the earfuls of holes and metal or the facefuls of metal and that was what my exposure to body mods had mostly been up until that point.
But once I visited the studio, everything about my perspective of body mods and the people who got them done and the people who did them CHANGED.
I wanted my own tiered lobe piercings and I wanted to have the CBRs and I wanted to stretch my lobes and I wanted it all in a really bad way.

After a lot of thinking and looking (I must have stared at hundreds of earlobes and body mod pics in general during that time, I swear), I realized a couple of important things about me and my style:
1) I (really) liked the 'heavy' stuff for jewelry. 'Heavy' in terms of what I described to you in previous posts.
2) I really liked the look and feel of the implant grade surgical stainless steel captive bead rings (CBRs) for earrings. Titanium and those funky colored CBRs? Not for me. Nice and shiny and heavy CBRs made from implant grade surgical stainless steel? Ohhh yes.
3) I liked body mods in general and would like to have more done. This was around when I concluded that I would someday get a tattoo done for my back and that I might be quite interested in stretching my earlobes a bit.

I got them pierced when I was still a teenager and because I wasn't terribly smart about body mods at the time (hell, I'll be honest; I didn't even know at that time that piercings and tattoos and whatnots were called body mods in the first place!), I got pierced at a typical mall piercing salon. Bad idea. Especially since I have fairly sensitive ear lobes.
I didn't regret the decision at all as I had been wanting the piercings for quite a while, but at the same time, something was 'missing' from the whole experience and for several years, I went around liking my ear piercings but feeling like something was sort of... off. It wasn't until several years later when I did more research on body mods and visited an actual honest-to-goodness piercing and inking studio that I realized that I had missed out on one hell of an experience by getting pierced where I did and in the manner that I had been pierced.

Ahhh why don't they offer the option to be able to post longer messages? Next time I poke at the support team, I'm going to put in a request for the ability to post longer messages. *grin* With that said, watch out as this is a very long message indeed and I apologize for taking a bit to get back to you.
I'm like you in regards to piercings or any other body mods including tattoos. I have to have a nice long itch for it before I can get the work done because otherwise I either won't fully appreciate it or the mod won't feel as 'right' as it should. Mods of any sort are a very personal statement to me so the 'feeling right' bit is of utmost importance.
My two lower lobe piercings are actually an example of both not waiting long enough and then waiting just the right amount of time.

I hope to get the ink work done once the time is 'right' and once I find the right person to do it for me. ... Now that I've written all of that, maybe I'm not so 'conservative' as they want to label me. Like my coding, I like my body mods and related jewelry or designs to be simple, elegant, and packing a punch. Heavy sterling silver (for things like chains or pendants or earring 'charms'), the highest grade implant surgical stainless steel (the hoops or bars for earrings), pieces with a single major accent (pendants), and interesting and unique designs (tattoos, pendants, plugs ;) ) are the things that I like. What about yourself? It's fascinating to talk about body mods and I'm glad you messaged me!

SpirInk
*grins and hugs back* No plugs. Yet. Mostly because my previous work wouldn't have quite approved (and not that I terrificly care about approval, but a job's a job and rules are rules). I have piercings that are being stretched though; 12 gauge currently both ears on the lobe and going to 10 soon, I think, and 14 gauge on a second piercing on right lobe stacked on top of the 12 gauge. I enjoy looking at other people's body mods - piercings and/or ink - as I see them as a very personal bit of creativity, but for myself, I'm actually a bit conservative (that's what they tell me, anyways lol) in regards to body mods. I am considering either a third hole in my ear and/or a tragus but I sleep on my side almost exclusively and so I'm concerned about potential issues with the healing process as my ears have always been a bit on the slow side to heal. In addition to the piercings, I have been working on a sprawling tattoo design to spread between my shoulder blades.

*grins* Only speaking the truth.
If I ever got plugs for my avatar, I'd definitely get the Cocytus Lazurite pair and the Electric Baptism pair; the coloration is truly wicked on those and cobalt and lapis lazuli blue and malachite green happen to be my favorite colors. ;) Good luck to anyone else wanting me to buy plugs from them now that I've seen what you can do!
Unfortunately, I don't personally know of any derivables myself or anyone who makes what you'd be looking for. But then again, I'm kind of new around here, too, so that's probably why.
With that said, I'll just sit tight until we can find the right derivables or get someone to make them.
Can't tell me that male avatars don't wear plugs! Heck, every time I visit the piercing and inking studio, the people with the plugs are mostly the guys! Fancy that.

I must say I am enjoying the septum piercing. It did indeed take quite a while, as you might've thought, to come to the name Lucien (Alexander). I wanted something unique but not so much so, with alot of nickname possibilities if he chose later in life. I have been a fan of your piercing product texturing for a while but hadn't taken the time to visit your homepage. Thank you for taking the time to show us your creativity and uniqueness. I'm sure it wasn't a quick feat.
