My Name is JT Huskey, and as a multi genre vr an rl artist and musician, I grew up in
the heart of Nashville Tennessee, born in 1980 under
the influence of musicians an artists of world calibur
from the day of my birth up to this day, from our front
porch all the way to the Grand Ole Opry every saturday
night, to the Ryman stage and all over the rest of the
world as well; to whom all of them I owe countless
thank you's too for letting me observe and play along side them.
I watched and learned from them, as well as learning
my own likes for other music as well as any kid does,
which lead me into the piano and learning classical,
then hip hop and pop, as well as trying anything else
I could try to play and see what i could play to it...kind of an obsession of mine, is to find a new piece to any music no matter what, which is what lead to me picking up my father's (Roy Huskey Jr.) upright bass and playing it as well. Thats a whole different challenge in itself trying to
live to that.
I play whenever I can, wherever I can...
its just the greatest feeling to express yourself through the art of song. Iam currently working in Nashville, TN as a session player and tour player, and have been the Upright Bassist for the Howling Brothers since 2007.
