General Character History
Much of Avinthair's history before his arrival in Silver Oak has remained shrouded in rumors and speculation. It is well-known the Lawbringer Knight was once a drow noble on the world known as Trineal. From his own accounts, his own reality had fallen into such a state that the forces of Chaos has seized control of the world. The few tales he has revealed has yielded the fact that in one reality, the drow had actually won over the forces of the surface world. Lloth's will had been carried out in a plot that had plunged the sun into a shroud of darkness. But, the effects has seen the loss of the power of Order to allow the world to sustain existence for long once the balance had been shattered.
Avinthair has served as one of the agents of Law known as a Lawbringer over the centuries since their arrival on his world. His introduction to the kingdom of Silver Oak would lead to an unexpected stay on the elvish world. Seeking a rogue Chaos Lord, the Knight was led into a confrontation with one of the kingdom's knights. Since then, he has remained in the kingdom after running afoul of his own masters for an unknown reason. A prisoner under sentence for assaulting one of the kingdom's knights, he has found himself breaking more rules than he once found himself exiled to kingdom by the Order of Law.
"Some have questioned my past... even my current role among the world. The answer is quite simple. Though, the principles of it can complicate the very idea.
"The past that I once served has since faded away before the purification of the armies of Law and Order. In the ethos of my own existence, the concepts of light and darkness are secondary. They are simply concepts of how to combat the eternal struggle between law and chaos. It is the ancient struggle that has long preceded the concepts that many live by in this day age.
"My own role is that of the Lawbringer. Ironically, a servant of the Sunlord of the world of Sharlis. Now, you know some idea of what I am. Why have I chosen a paladin's calling and that of a Lawbringer? That you'll have to seek in the stories and histories."
