Alexander was born Alexandru Valentin Nicolae Rovinari in 1172 to a family of minor nobility near the village of Carpineni in the province of Lapusna In Romania . He became a Knight Protector of his Fathers lands, and was revered for his Valorous and Chivalrous demeanor. The year was 1200Ad While out on patrol of my fathers borders. It had grown dark and I was preparing a camp when I was set upon by marauding Roman Solders and was mortally wounded. I thought my life was at an end. Before the wretched Romans could dispatch me they them selves where attacked by a single Knight clad head to toe in bright Steel Armour. The battle was one sided this Knight fought like a banshee and utterly routed the Romans and killed them to a man. This Knight approached me, I now saw from the knights breast Plate that he was in fact a woman! She knelt beside be and cradled me in her arms, and raised the Visor of her helmet. I beheld the most beautiful woman of elegance and grace that I had ever set eyes upon. She stole my heart right then and there. Tears welled in my eyes knowing I would not grow to know her, I felt utter despair at that thought.
She Said " My name is Amelia and I have heard of you Alexandru and your virtues, I wish to offer you a gift so that you and your virtues will not perish." My Heart swelled at the thought of life and the possibility of knowing this wondrous woman. I Said "Yes! if this gift means I will be able to know thee and Serve thee YES! She Told me she was a very old Vampire a Blood drinker, one of a few Elders of her race, that she was over one thousand years old. She Said You will become a powerful Vampire from drinking my blood. a terrible responsibility that I know you are worthy of I see it in your heart of hearts! Thus she Made me what I am this day, An 829 year old drinker of blood and an Immortal!
Hence forth Alexandru became one of Amelia most trusted and Valued Servants Loyal to only Amelia For He Loved her beyond measure. Amelia instructed me in all the ways of our race and the ways of a Vampire Knight, I grew to become one of the most powerful and respected of our race. I now exist to protect our race from those who seek to harm them. Chivalry Is Not Dead While I exist!
Why must life hurt? Why must those who love generously, live honourable, feel deeply. All that is good and beautiful be so hurt while selfish creatures go unscathed?That is why, because they can't feel. Hurt is the price to pay for feeling.
Pain is not accident, nor punishment, nor mockery. By some savage God, pain is part of growth. The more we grow, the more we feel, the more we feel, the more we suffer. For if we are able to feel beauty, we must also feel the lack of it.
And so since hurt is the price of larger living, I will not hate pain nor try to escape it. Instead I will try to meet it, bravely bear it proudly. Not as a cross of misfortune, but an opportunity, a privilege, a challenge to a better life.
